Iceland Gull – 30th JanuaryIn the Deep Water Pit in the late afternoon a first winter Iceland Gull was spotted. Also noted were seven Water Rail, three Snipe and one or two Cetti’s Warblers in the reeds on the Slurry Lagoon. At dusk a Tawny Owl flew across the reeds in the Deep Water Pit and landed in the willows on the south-east corner. Three Common Buzzards were also seen. RW |
