Pyramidal Orchids – 8th July

Another 21 Pyramidal Orchids were found on the north facing slope of the Deep Pit. A Hobby was the cause of a disturbance amongst the Swallows by the Railway Bridge. A Little Gull has spent most of the day catching small flying insects over the Slurry Lagoon, later on joined by Black-headed Gulls. In the shallow water in front of the reeds were also four Black-tailed Godwits. [...]
