The Patchwatch ended on a total of seventy-two species seen during the day. Highlights were a pair of Little Ringed Plovers on the Wader Scrapes and a Common Sandpiper in the Deep Pit. [ 03/10/2010; ] Come to the lagoons for Patchwatch Day and see if you can add any species to the day list. Most Patchwatch days turn up around 75 species. The more eyes we have the more species we are likely to find. The Monthly Bird Count has been moved forward a week to coincide with the Patchwatch Day [...] [...] [ 18/04/2010; ] There will be a patch watch all day on 18th April. Come for the day or come for an hour. See what you can see as the migrants go through. Someone will be on site most of the day to tell you what has been happening, or for you to give your sightings to.
