There are now lots of  Southern Marsh, Spotted and Bee Orchids out and even a few Pyramidal. A new species for the site has also been tentatively identified as Northern Marsh Orchid. The first Meadow Browns have also been seen. PS. [...]

Pyramidal Orchids – 8th July

Another 21 Pyramidal Orchids were found on the north facing slope of the Deep Pit. A Hobby was the cause of a disturbance amongst the Swallows by the Railway Bridge. At least three Grasshopper Warblers were reeling around the Deep Pit. An Essex Skipper was found on the western end of the Slurry Lagoon. [...]
