In the Deep Water Pit in the late afternoon a first winter Iceland Gull was spotted. Also noted were seven Water Rail, three Snipe and one or two Cetti’s Warblers in the reeds on the Slurry Lagoon. At dusk a Tawny Owl flew across the reeds in the Deep Water Pit and landed in [...] [...]

This morning a male and female Stonechat were on the outside of the Deep Pit bank, at its north eastern corner. Inside the Deep Pit bank two Cetti’s Warblers were showing well together. On the Slurry Lagoon was a Dunlin and a Snipe and several Water Rail were calling. Two Redwing, six Siskin and a [...] [...] A Black-tailed Godwit was again present on the slurry lagoon this morning together with a Pintail and six Snipe. AE. [...]  |
